About Modifying Cars - Tinted windows

Originally designed to protect the car's occupants from the sun, they are also useful to keep people from peeking in. You can either change the entire window or, if your budget is a bit tighter, you can apply a stick-on filter.

Just be aware that tinted windscreens and front windows are illegal 'round these parts. The reason for this legislation was a spate of accidents in which heavily tinted windows were partially to blame. What you do in the back of your ride is entirely up to you - at least as far as tints go!

New glass is expensive and not necessary if you do a good job of diy tinting. For a fine example of the stick-on variety check out www.cartinter.co.uk
